CITY OF LODI PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT COUNCIL COMMUNICATION TO: City Council FROM: City Manager DATE: October 12, 1983 SUBJECT: Acceptance of Turner Road Overlay RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements in Turner Road Overlay, 200' W Stockton - 630' E/Wintun and direct the Public Works Director to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to Granite Construction of French Camp on June 1, 1983 in the amount of $64,954. The contract has been com- pleted in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The contract completion date was August 21, 1983 and the actual completion date is October 10, 1983• The final contract price was $59,779.45. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is due to an underrun in the quantity of,,psphaltic concrete used. Jakk L.
