You are hereby notified that on October 4, 1983, Trailways, Inc. and
American Buslines, Inc. amended the above-described Application
originally filed with the Public Utilities Commission on August 17, 1983
to increase their existing passenger fares by 15% in lieu of the
requested increase of approximately 9.25% as set fortis in said
Application as originally filed.
These increases are requested to offset increased costs incurred by
said companies. Said increase of existing fares by 15% will simply place
the fares of the Applicants on a parity with those of Greyhound Lines,
Inc. now in force between the same points.
This notice is served pursuant to Rule 24 of the Rules of Practice
of the California Public Utilities Commission. Pursuant to said Rule, a
copy of the Amendment to Application and related exhibits will be
furnished by Applicants upon written request therefor addressed to:
