Your petition indicating the need for public shuttle bus service
within the City of Lodi was presented to the Lodi City Council at
its regular meeting of October. 17, 1984. Following discussion,
Mayor Snider requested that I correspond with you advising that
the San Joaquin County Council of Goverrvients will be holding an
Unmet Transit Needs Hearing in the City of Lodi within the next
60 days. It certainly would be appropriate for you to present
testimony at that hearing regarding your concerns about public
transportation within this City.
May I suggest that you contact Mr. Peter Vercborn, Executive
Director of the San Joaquin Council of Goverrny..nts regarding this
hearing and its purpose. Mr. Verdoorn's telephone number is
(209) 944-2233.
A notice of the hearing and the scheduled date, hour, and location
will appear in the Lodi News Sentinel prior to the hearing.
Please do not hesitate to call me, should you have any questions.
Very truly yours,
