THE CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE F October 14, 1987 SUBJECT: PURCHASE DIGGER DERRICK/BUCKET TRUCK COMBINATION (EUD-87-9) RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council adopt s resolution awarding the bid to the low bidder Pac Power, Inc. in the amount of $119,886.00. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This truck is for replacement )f existing Truck #42. Funding for this purchase was included in the 1987-88 fiscal -year budget. The Cites will dispose of the existing unit. No Response Sacramento, CA Utility Body Company No Response Berkeley, CA `.i RESOLUTION NO. 87-131 AWARD - CONTRACT FOR DIGGER DERRICK/BASKET TRUCK WHEREAS, in aiswer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened by the City Clerk of this City on September 22, 1987 at 11:00 a.m. for the contract for Digger Derrick/Basks-;: Truck, described in the specifications therefor approved by the City Council August 19, 1987; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Amount Pacific Mobile Equipment $121,249.16 PacPower $119,886.00 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award for the contract for Digger Derrick/Bucket Truck, be made to the low bidder, PacPower. Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that award of contract for Digger Derrick;Basket Truck, be and the same is hereby made to PowerPac, Inc., the low bidder, in the amount of $119,886.00 and appropriate an additional $8,000.00 from the Master Drainage Program fund ti complete the project.
