Adopt a resolution rescinding a previous resolution which established a taxi stand on the west side of School Street adjacent to Woolworth's. 2. Adopt a resolution to eliminate a passenger Loading none on the west side of School Street adjacent to the Hotel .Lodi. 3. Establish a_45 -foot No Parking zone on the west side of Sacramento Street north of Lodi Avenue. 4. Rescind subsections i, m and n of Section .195, Ordinance No,. 4933 which establ"fished a 2' -hour parking limit on the following streets: (1) On Main Street from Oak Street to Elm Street: Two hour limit. (m) On Elm Street from Main Street to Stockton Street: Two hour limit. (n) On Pine Street from Main Street to Stockton Street: Two hour limit. BACKGROUND INFORMATION 1 and 2. Taxi Stand and Passenger Loading Zone. Neither of these zones are being used for the purpose for which they were intended and both zones can be converted to better use as on -street parking spaces for the public. 3. No Parking Zone. The No Parking zone would be established across an abandoned driveway on the west side of Sacramento Street immediately north of Lodi Avenue. There is a right turn lane from Sacramento Street to Lodi Avenue at this location, but at times cars have been parked across the driveway partially blocking the lane. =t APPROVED: FILE 40. HENRY A. City Manager s Council Communication To: City Council September 23, 1981 Page 2 11 BACKGROUND INFORMATION (continued) Red curb across the driveway will discourage drivers from parking there_ 4. 2 -Hour Parking Limit East of S.P.R.R. This zone was established years ago when there might have been more of a demand for parking In the area. The limit is not being enforced by parking patrol personnel and can probably be removed without creating any problems. L. OAK s' MCc worts Director Dot* RESOLUTION NO. 81-144 RESOLUTION ELIMINATING CERTA?N PARKING ZONES , AND, ESTABLISHING A 45 FOOT "NO PARKING" ZONE ON THE WEST SIDE OF SACRAMENTO STREET, LODI, NORTH OF LODI AVENUE RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby abolish the taxi stated located on the west side of School Street, Lodi, adjacent to the F. W. Woolworth Company located at 115 S. School Street, Lodi, as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and thereby made a part hereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby eliminate a passenger loading zone which had been established on the west side of School Street, Lodi, adjacent to the Hotel Lodi and as shown on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and thereby made a part hereof. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby establish a 45 foot "No Parking" zone on the west side of Sacramento Street, north of Lodi Avenue, Lodi, as depicted on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and thereby made a part hereof.. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that all resolutions and parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed insofar as any conflict may exist.
