City Manager ALICE holk REiMCHE City Clerk RONALD M. STEIN CJ1V Attorney SUBJECT: Installation of Street improvements on Cluff Avenue The City Council at its last regular meeting of October 6, 1982, directed me to Inform you that the City would be calling for the street improvements as they are outlined in the attached agreement. As you are aware, these improvements were not called for earlier due to the fact that the ultimate storm drain in Cluff Avenue had not yet been installed. The City has received an Economic Development Act grant for the installation of this storm drain and Is in the process of preparing plans and specifications. We propose to call for bids In December and. hopefully, award the project in Janu- ary 1983. There are other property owners who have indicated that they wish to install their improvements in conjunction with this storm drain project. Therefore, we will be obtaining bids for the street improvements for each Individual parcel from Lodi Avenue to Victor Road. We will be informing you of these improvement costs based on our contractor's bid prior to the award of the contract. Under the conditions of the agreement, you have the option of having the City's contractor do the work In conjunction with the storm drain project or obtaining your ewn contractor to do the work. We must know if you desire to use the City contractor or your %.Nm contrac- tor prior to our awarding the bid. Upon request, we will furnish you the pians show- ing the work on Cluff Avenue which is your responsibility. As soon as we complete our working drawings, It Is our intent to have a meeting In the field to discuss the exact proposed improvements with each individual property owner. if you have any questions concerning this letter or the project, please contact Richard Prima, Associate Civil Engineer, or me by calling 334-5634, extension 212.
