In order to provide a smooth pathway and to accommodate shoulder drainage. It appears the least expensive alternate would be to pave an 8 -foot shoulder on the north side of Turner Road between the subject limits. The cost of this project is estimated at $2.200 and Includes preparation of suborade. paving on $-foot shoulder. Installing ) No Parking signs and painting an edge Iins on the west -bound lane. Nowevar, this shoulder paving could not be used as part of the ultimate widening and would haft to be removed in the future. :«._w r..Nu a -IJ 1 %.i l l 11.6 •. v4s a.Attar. bu gattit►y together In the field next week to After oneeting with Mr. Cope 1 will make a formal I ....I I td CGPE Propart les to determine what their development pians wore o., tills turner Road parcel. I have been directed by the Board to contact you regarding this matter. 4r, Currently there are approximitely 34 children each clay who bicycle and walk ;-z between the subdivision to Lakewood School am! Woodbridge Middle School. In addition, most after school and vacation activities to which these children (and atittits) bicycle require travel along the. same stretch or street. I concur with. tlx• Association's observation that the shoulder pavement is too narrow to aiiow sarc passage or child`rc:n, espixi Elly rn bicycles. It is also tuisilfe for them tit ri Ie in tlx; dirt on tlx: shcnrlder, and to cut across the glass-strewn vacant ivircel. It is my ulkkw•stand ing that there is no longer a timetable on development of they Cow ivircel; therefore, 1 asstww th:ct there- will be no sickucalks or street ingn-c►velut•nts ill the rol-seeallle rtiture.
