BACKGROUND, INFORMATI-ON: The specifications for these items were approved by the Cuty Council on Septe4iber 5, 1984. Bids were opened on Wednesday, October 3, 1984 and the following 5 bids were received. Two of these pickups will be assigned to the Building Inspection Division of the Community Development Departmentone as a replacement truck and the other as an additional vehicle for the newly hired Building Inspector. The third' truck replaces a 1973 Ford Sedan assigned to a Public Works Inspector of the Public Works Department. There was $25,830 budgeted for these items in the 1984-85 budget. facL. RESOLUTION NO. 84-151 AWARD - THREE MID SIZE PICKUP TRUCKS WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council,, sealed bids were received and publicly opened by the City Clerk of this City on October- 3, 1984 at 11:00 a.m. for the contract for three mid size pickup trucks as described in the specifications therefor approved by the City Council October 3, 1984; and WHEREAS, said bid -s have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: BIDDER Sanborn Chevrolet Geweke Ford P 1 umne r Pontiac Sanborn Chevrolet Plummer Pontiac AMOUNT $26,866.72 26,919.81 27,079.82 27.272.17 27,272.17 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award be made to the low bidder Sanborn Chevrolet, NOW, THEREFORE,. BE I°T RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that award of contract for three mid-size pick up trucks be and the same is hereby made to Sanborn Chevrolet, the lwr bidder, in the amount of $26,866.72.
