REPORTS OF THE
CITY MANAGER Council Member Pinkerton moved approval of the Consent
Calendar with the condition that the approval of the
specifications for a Pickup Truck for the Fire Department,
Utility Cargo Van for the Utility Department, Utility
Service Truck for the Water/Wastewater Division, and
the
Utility Truck for tia Parks and Recreation Department be
amended to specify American Standard Threads for nuts and
bolts instead of metric.
The motion was seconded by Council Member Snider, but
failed to pass.
A lengthy discussion followed with questions being directed
to Staff.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This 1 -Ton Pickup Truck is a replacement vehicle for
the Fire Service Division of the Fire Department.

TO THE CITY COUNCIL

SUBJECT: PURCHASE OF WATTHOUR IVETERS (UD -E85-6)
DATE
Sept. 23, 1985
On Friday, September 20, 1985, bids were received for the purchase of 672
watthour meters.
The meters will be used to meter electric energy usage at the following
developments: Tandy Ranch,.Whispering Oaks, Park West Units #4 & #5,
Noma Ranch, Rivergate Mokelumne Unit #2, Rivergate Commons, Apartments
at Turner Road and Lower Sacramento Road, as well as various smaller
developments throughout the City and to maintain an inventory of meters
for other needs as they develop.
Based on the bids received, it is recommended that the bid be awarded to
the lowest bidder, Westinghouse Electric Supply Co., Concord, CA, in the
amount of $20,657.28.
Funds sufficient for this purchase have been provided in the Electric
Department's Fy 85-86 Budget.
