Thank you 41 r A„c- Juan Mendez Park Supervisor NO. 0 CITY OF LODI NOTICE TO BIDDERS TURF TRUCKSTER SPECIFICATIONS The City of Lod -i will receive scaled proposals for the furnishing of one (1) new model turf truckster conforming to the following specifications: GENERAL The turf truekster shall be a 3' -wheel chassis model with flat-bed box equipped with a minimum 18 Ii. P. gasoline engine and having a payload capacity of 1,500 pounds Vehicle to be licensed for usage on city streets. OSHA approved. ENGINE Engine shall develop minimum 18 II. P. and have no less than 43 cubic inch displacement. The engine shall be fitted with suitable oil filter, air cleaner, self-starter, and governor systeir. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM The electrical system shall be comprised of the following: 12 -volt starter. 20 -amp alternator, voltage regulator, 30 -amp battery, ignition lock starter, horn, dual beam headlight, combination stop and tail -light. rear view mirror, ammeter and fuel gauge. In addition, the machine shall be equipped with all warning lights. turn signals, and other accouterments required by law for normal street operation. THROTTLE CONTROL The throttle control shall be foot operated. TRANSMISSION The transmission shall be of automotive type with three forward and one reverse speeds. AUXILIARY TRANSMISSION Shall be equipped with lever engaged 2.-1 reducing auxiliary. STEERING Automotive type steering is required, return to center. - 1 - Continued Turf Truckster Specifications - Continued BRAKES Foot actuated hydraulic brakes and mechanical parking brake to be Installed. SUSPENSION Vehicle shall have standard suspension as supplied by the menufacurer plus shock absorbers; front and rear and overload rear springs. TIRES 18 X 9.50 X 8, 6 ply rated with turf pattern tread on traction wheels. 18 X 9.50 X 8, 6 ply rating on front wheels. TURN!NG CIRCLE Turning circle to be not more than 16 feet. WHEELBASE The wheelbase shall be not less than 72". SEATS Two passenger seat with backrest and hip restraints /hand holds. TRAILER HITCH A trailer hitch as normally supplied by the manufacturer shall be Installed. All proposals shall be sealed and plainly marked "Bid on Turf Truckster," and must be received in Room , Lodi City Hall, 221 West Pine Strep t , Lodi, California 95240, net later than 11:00 a.m. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 9, 1-984 At that time they will be publicly opened and declared. The City Council will make the award as soon thereafter as is practicable. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. The price to the City sha'_l be the net selling price, F.O.B. Lodi, less the Federal Excise Tax, plus the California State Sales Tax. The City will furnish a Federal Excise Exemption Certificate. One extra set of knives shall be supplied with the machine G. All hydraulic hoses, fittings and piping shall be of standard sizing for ease of procurement. H. Personnel will receive instructions and demon- stration as to the proper use and safety precautions for the chipper.
