MOWING AGi2EEMENT BETWEEN TKE CITY OF LODI AND LODI UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRIC`.
1 would like to recommend that the mowing agreement be accepted
as submitted for a twu-year period from October, 1984, through
October 15, 1986.
The cuttings per year would remain the same, but the cost per
hour would be increased from $46.26 to $62.85.
All other factors would remain the same.
The attached memorandum to the Finance Department indicates the
cost per hour and the breakdown of the cost per areas that are
under agreement, namely, heritage, Woodbridge, Lodi High School,
and Tokay High School.
The increase is $16.59 per hour_, which seems considerable, but
based on a two-year period, it evens itself out. Although our
fuel costs have not gone up to any great extent, our labor costs
and maintenance costs for mowing equipment, parts, and mechanic
are greater than they were two years ago.
I would suggest that when this agreement is approved by City
Council it be submitted to the School District for their
acceptance or further discussion.
