W I T N E S S E T H: WHEREAS, Council is a non-profit association devoted ex - Elusively to accident prevention through education; and WHEREAS, Council operates in the meneral public interest serving the community ar a whole and serving no special interest; and WHEREAS, Council desires to perform its services for City; NOW, ':'HEREFORE, in consideration of the promises and of the mutual covenants and conditions herein contained, it is under- stood and agreed by and between the parties hereto as follows, to -wit. (1) Council agrees to use its facilities and special know- ledge for and on behalf of city in educating the community in accident prevention, and to adhere to its general operating policies as adopted by its Board of Directors in August, 1956. (2) In consideration of the above services, the City agrees to pay and contribute to Council the sum of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1,000.00). toward salaries and surplies during the fiscal year 1984-85. r (3) City reserves the right to inspect the records of Council at all reasonable times, and Council shall submit to City a copy of its Annual Audit. (4) The term of this contract shall be for the fiscal Year commencing on July 1, 1984, and ending June 30, 1985.
