HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - September 16, 1987 (62)ACCEPTANCE OF PARKS AND RECREATION FACILITY 14ASTER PLAN /CC -14(a) CC -40 ---- CITY COUNCIL MEETING SEPTEMBER Io, 1987 At the Shirtsleeve Session of August 25, 1987, the Parks and Recreation Master Plan was presented to the Ci -y Council by the Recreation and Parks Director and Morris and Wenell Architects. The City Council is being asked to approve this Master Plan in order that the Public Works Department can proceed with the replacement of the water tank. A letter was presented from Maria Elena Serna requesting that the "several historically significant buildings" in the subject area be preserved. Following discussion, on motion of Council Member Pinkerton, Reid second, Council approved and accepted the Parks and Recreation Facility Master Plan. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At the Shirtsleeve Session of August 25, the Parks and Recreation Master Plan was presented to the City Counc4l by '.he Recreation and Parks Director and Morris and Wenell Architects. We are asking the City Council to approve this Master Plan in order that the Public Works Department can proceed with the replacement of the water tank. Attached are reduced copies of the site plan and elevations. If you have any questions concerning this Master Plan, the Recreation and Parks Director and I will be happy to answer them at the Council meeting. Jack L.
