RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the plans and specifica-
tion�or the above project and authorize advertising for bids.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION Thisprojectincludes the removal -of old and the
installation of nzw aeration diffusers at the White Slough Treatment
Facility. The diffusers have been purchased by the City of Lodi and will be
furnished to the contractor for installation.
A breakdown of the total aeration project costs is as follows:
Diffusers purchased by City $82,300
Installation by formai contract 60,000
Engineering and inspection 121400

tions for four underground double-wall fuel tanks and authorize advertising
for bids.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Viese tanks are part of the overall State
undergroun.d..fuel tank, upddting project to replace single-wall tanks.with
double-wall continuous monitored tanks.
The location, size, and type of these four tanks is shown below:

SUBJECT. INSTALLATZOtz OF ELECTRIC SLTUSTRUCTURES - (E TL -s7-13)
LOWER SACRAMENTO ROAD RUTLEDGE DRIVE AND TURNER ROAD
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the plans and specifications
for the installation of electric substructures (vaults and conduits) Gn Lower
Sacramento Road (160 ft.), Rutledge Drive (720 ft.) and Turner Road (440 ft.),
all in the Town and Country area, and authorize advertisement for bids thereon.
The bid opening date has been set for October 6, 1987.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The installation of the substructures will enable
the Electric Utility Department to reconstruct the underground direct -buried
12-kv e'.istribution system in the area. The existing system, installed in
1968-69, is rapidly failing due to cable deterioration. This project wi_il
complete the reconstruction in the area.
Funding was included in the 1987-88 fiscal year budget. The estimated cost of
this portion of the reconstruction project is $23,000.
