SUBJECT Specifications for the purchase of three-phase padmount switchgear (UD -E84-7)
Specifications for the purchase of one three-phase padmount vacuum
switchgear are presented for Council's approval and permission to
advertise for bids is requested. The bid opening date has been
set for Tuesday. October 2, 1984.
The switchgear will be used to provide a feedpoint for the Woodlake
North subdivision and for sectionalizing of a main feeder.
The estimated cost of this purchase is $9500, with delivery expected
in approximately three months.

SUBJEC SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF PADMOUNT TRANSFORMERS (UD -E-84-8;)
Specifications for the purchase of two 112 KVA, one 150 KVA and one 300 KVA
three-phase padmount transformers are presented for Council's approval and
permission to advertise for bids is requested. The bid opening date has
been set for Tuesday, October- 2, 1984.
The transformers will be used to serve Community Drive Medical Offices,
Quashnick Tool, Arbor Apartments and to replenish the inventory of back-up
units.
The estimated cost of this purchase is $19,000, with delivery expected in
approximAtely five months.

SUBJECT SPEC2FICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF 600 -VOLT XLP TRIPLEX CABLE (UD -E84-9)
Specifications for the purchase of 25,000 ft. of 350 MCM and 10,000 ft. of
4/0 AWG, 600 -volt XLP Triplex Aluminum Caole are presented for Council's
approval and permission to advertise for bids is requested. The bid opening
date has been set for Tuesday, October 2, 1984.
The cable will be used in Burgundy Village, Meadows, Noma Ranch, Rivergate
Place, Whispering Oaks and Woodlake North Subdivisions, as well as Pioneer
Place, Rivergate Commons and Southwind Condominim projects, and for other
cable needs as they develop.
The estimated cost of this purchase is $45,000, with delivery expected in
approximately 4 months.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the specifications for
three(3) mid-size pickup trucks and a4thorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise
for bids to be received on Wednesday, 0.. tober 3. 1984.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION_ These pickup trucks were approved in the 1984-85
.,perating Budget as a replacement for one Building Inspector's truck, one for
the additional Building Inspector and one for the Engineering Department. These
pickup trucks will replace a 1373 Ford Maverick and a 1976 Ford Courier pickup
truck present assigned to the Community Development and Public Work -

SUBJECT: APPROVE SPECIFICATIONS FOR TWO (2) DIESEL POWERED AIR COMPRESSORS
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the specifications for
two air compressors and authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids
to be received on Wednesday, October 3, 1984.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: These air compressors were approved in the 1984-85
Aerating Budget as a replacement air compressor for the Public Works
Department. This air compressor will replace a 1979 hydraulic system presently
assigned to the Water/Wastewater Division, Public Works Department. The other
air compressor is an additional unit for a new crew truck assignedto the
Water/Wastewater Division of Public Works Department.

Total Project Estimate: $16,800
Bid Opening Date: 9/22/84
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the pians and specifications
or the above project and authorize advertisement for bids.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This project entails purchase of a pump and motor for
the storm water lift station at Lodi Lake. The pump will be installed by City
forces and will replace an existing "clean water" pump with a "trash handting"
pump suited for clean-up duty. The additional funds cover purchase of a larger
pump than budgeted. in order to match the output of the pump being replaced.
Upon award, ad tional funds will have to be allocated.
