of the property located at 115 W. Walnut Street
for additional parking at that location.

BA3MMM IN U M7W: The staff has been contacted by the owner of the
office building located at 115 W. Walnut Street
(Exhibit A) . This individual is oo•nteapl-=`ing
selling the property and was kind enough to contact the City first .to
determine if the City was interested in acquiring the property to provide
for additional parking in the downtown area. In reviewing this proposal,
the staff concludes that this is not a particularly attractive
opportunity- The building appears to be in excellent condition and it is
canrently occupied. The ratio of cost of acquisition to the number of
additional parking spaces provided would, in all probability, not be to
the City's benefit. In addition, the location is not a high demmid
Parking area.
If the City Council concurs in this recommendation, staff will so advise
the property owner, thanking him far his consideration of the City's needs.
