Hinchman, Olson second, continued the public hearing to the
Regular Council Meeting of September 17, 1986.
The City Clerk was directed to provide the appropriate
noticing for this meeting.
HOTEL LODI
Mr. David F. Beatty, Attorney -at -Law, McDonough, Holland
RENOVATION PROJECT
and Allen representing the developer of the proposed
project, Daniels C. Logue addressed the Council asking

that the public hearing be continued for two weeks

indicating their desire to meet with City staff, with
persons having objections with the proposed project and
with representatives of the downtown business ccmmmity to
discuss the matter and to answer any questions regarding
the project these people may have.
Ms. Judy Peterson, 2 Plus 2, 40 Downtown Mall, Lodi,
addressed the Council indicating that she is vice -President
of the Lodi Downtown Business Association and that the vast
majority of downtown business people are against the
project. Ms. Peterson indicated that they are looking
forward to the proposed meeting with the developers of the
project.
Following discussion, Council, on motion of Council Member
Hinchman, Olson second, continued the public hearing to the
Regular Council Meeting of September 17, 1986.
The City Clerk was directed to provide the appropriate

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, August 6, 1986 at

the hour of 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter may be
heard, the Lodi City Council will conduct a public hearing in the
Council Chambers, City Hall, 221 West Pine Street, Lodi, California,
to receive public input regarding the proposed Hotel Lodi Renovation
Project.
The Hotel Lodi Rehabilitation Project will he apublic-private

partnership project, incorporating participation of the following
public and private entities and programs:' City of Lodi-Ccnr�unity

Development Block Grant; State of California Office of Housing and
Cccm mity Development -Special User Housing Rehabilitation Program;
The Savings Association Mortgage Ccxpany.(SAMOD); and the Daniels C.

Upon corrpletion the Hotel Lodi, located at the corner of School
and Pine Streets, will provide 110 furnished residential rental units
available to low and moderate. inccrre persons.

This is in response to the City of Lodi's request for support of its
Application for Federal Assistance under the Housing Deveiopnmt Anion Grant
Program (HODAG). The project, as proposed, would provide 110 units of rehabi-
litated, residential, rental units, which would be affordable to low and

moderate income persons.
