City Clerk apprised the Council that a letter had been
received from Bob Zamora, owner of Indi Honda, 1700 S.
Cherokee I zne, requesting that the Oleander m►"ilium oil
Cherokee L:►ne from Almond Drive to Poltlar Struet be Lrimmed
down to a height of three feet.
The Clerk algrised Council Lhat she had recuiv►•d i request

Lodi should solve a problem that: exists.

I` -want: the city of Lodi to remove or at, least trim down
to-a-� hei ht -the oleander bushes ii, the medium -:0:n -Cheroke
Lane. Their present height obstructer vision and.,creates an
extreme raffic hazzsrd. I have seen drivers coming out of
Al mond-Drive:and after turning left finally,:realize..that.they..

business is here. This is not right and I request that_the

I have been -told that_ approval has been ,give„ to: trim :the
Oleanders if' the:, property owners `would pay'. the cost of their
triming and then'a1s0 malritain them in'the`future — am.-*,-sure....-

thatyou all realize how this ignores the issue: of safety

and stimulation of ` , ocel business. The chance of organizing;
all the affected business owners and comirg_.to a`fair'assess-

ment for each would be a► project from which the city `would ==--`
receive -a lot of bad pv53icity, al^ng with "many claims of
unfairness. Yet even so, I am now and wr1l be in the future
willing to pay a reasora:ble amount it this e3 wra. it will
take to create a saf ,r traffic area and a better business
climate for South Cherokee Lane.

I repeat again that I feel it is the responsibility of
the city of Lodi to correct this problem and I request an
audience at the next city council meeting to discuss this natter.
I wound appreciate hearing from someone within the next
two weeks so that this problem can be resolved.
