HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - September 2, 1981 (33)WI -A 04 w a I a I Q4 ; G7,4 if t RESOLUTION NO. 81-118 AWARD - APPLICATION OF CLASS II SLURRY SEAL TO CITY STREETS WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened by the City Clerk of this City on August 19, 1981 at 11:00 a.m. �*or the contract for Application of Class II Slurry Seal to City Streets as described in the specifications therefor approved by the City Council August 5, 1981; and WHEREAS, only one bid was received, said being as fol lows: BIDDER BID California Pavement Maintenance $18,877.20 WHEREAS, it has been determined that the above bid is a reasonable bid; and WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award be made; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that award of contract for Application of Class II Slurry Seal to City Streets be made to California Pavement Maintenance, the only bidder, in the amount of $18,877.20. REIMCHE City Clerk 81-118 CITY OF LOCM PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT COUNCIL COMMUNICATION TO: City Council FROM: City Manager DATE: August 25, 1981 SUBJECT: Award Bid to Apply Class II Slurry Seal to City Streets RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council award the bid to apply Class 11 Slurry Seal to California Pavement Maintenance Company, Sacramento, California. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The specifications to apply Class II Slurry Seal to City streets were approved by the City Council at its meeting August 5. 1981, and one (1) Did was received. Slurry sealing costs decreased seven (7) percent since the last time the City requested bids, which was June 1981. Following is the tabulation of the bid received.
