In general, the work consists of replacing undersized storm drains

SUBJECT: Plans and Specifications for Main Street Storm Drain
Elm Street to Turner Road
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the plans and specifications
or n Street Storm Drain, Elm Street to Turner Road," and authorize the
City Clerk to advertise for bids to be received Wednesday, September 29, 1982.

BACKGROUND -INFORMATION: The construction of a 30''' and 24" storm drain in Main
Street was approved in the 1981/82 Capital Improvement Budget.with an estimated
expenditure of $86,000.
In general, the work consists.of replacing undersized storm drains to reduce
flooding during heavy storms. A second phase of this project --Elm Street Storm
Drain, Main to Washington --will be proposed In a future CA * P. Budget. The
project estimate is lower than the budget estimate because some curb and gutter
work planned for this phase is being deleted from the project.
The total cost of the project is estimated at $60.000.
