fi11mi SANITARY Agenda sten X-2 - "Request by Sanitary City Disposal CITY Cagmy for Rate Increase" was introduced by Assistant DISPOSAL City Manager Glenn who presented and reviewed a rate OCWANY adjustment computation he had prepared regard#ng the RATE requested rate increase. IIVC2FJiSE Mr. Harry Marzolf was in the audience representing Sanitary City Disposal Conpany and responded to questions as were directed by the Council. Mr. Fred Druet, 1401 Ayers Avenue, Lodi was in the audience and addressed the Council regarding the matter, raising a mrrber of questions regard!ng Sanitary City Disposal Company and their holdings. Following a lengthy discussion, with gmmestions being ND. 1336 directed to Staff and to those persons In the audience who had given testimony, Council, on =tion of Council Member Reid, Hinchman second, introduced ordinance No:. 1336, an Urgency Ordinance, granting a 9.5% increase on residential and commercial refuse rates on all bills prepared after September 1, 1984. The motion carried by unanimous vote. Section 11-3 of the City Code of the City of Lodi is hereby repealed and re-enacted to read in full as follows: Section 11-3. Collection Rates. The monthly rates to be charged for garbage col -lection service shall be as follows: A. For any private dwelling house or residence, the rate for one weekly garbage collection shall be: (1) For the first container of thirty gallons or less and not to exceed sixty pounds, Four Doll -ars and Eighty Seven Cents (54.87) (2) For each additional container of thirty gal -loris or less and not to exceed sixty pounds. We Dollars and Thirty Five Cents ($2.33) B. Owners of flats. apartments or the tenants or lessees thereof shall pay an amount equal to Four Dollars and nighty Seven Cents ($4.87) times the number of apartment units owned or occupied-. C. The foregoing Ord -inane No. 1336 was Introduced and adopted as an Urgency Ordinanry by a four-fifths (4/5) vote of the Lodi City Council held on the 15th day of August. 1984 and shall be in force and take affect on all bills with are prepared on or after September 1. 1984.
