Nay --ane Ballatore, 334 Bella Vista Drive, Lodi, addressed
the Council requesting that the following Advisory Measure
be placed on the '4ovember ballot. Following discussion,
with questions being directed to the proponents of the
Advisory Measure and to Staff, Council, on motion of
Council Member Pinkerton, Reid second, denied the request.
In its decision, Council indicated its concern that the
\ proposal was premature and needed further study and

This letter will confirm that the Lodi City Council, at its regular
meeting of Aigust 7, 1985, received your formal request to place the
following Advisory Measure on the November 1985 ballot:
Shall the City of Lodi make any provisions in the
General Plan for an auditorium seating 2000 people?
Shall the City of Lodi amend Measure A (The Green
Belt Initiative) to facilitate an auditorium project
z seating 2000 in the event provision is made in the
General Plan for such a project?
Following discussion, with questions being directed to tine proponents
of the Advisory Measure and to Staff, Council, by motion action denied
the request. In its decision, Council indicated its concern that the
proposal was premature and needed further study and explanation.
Council further reconrnended that you work with Community Development
Director James Schroeder in ascertaining the various requirements
that would need to be met in developing your proposal.
