Amount Budgeted: 33,780.00 Total Project Estimate: 33,745.00 Total Project Bid: 27,189.61 AGENDA TITLE: Award Contract for Class It Slurry Seal RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council award the contract to apply Class Ii Slurry Seal to Valley Slurry Seal Company, Inc., Sacramento, CA. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The specifications for Class li Slurry Seal were approved by the City Council at its meeting July 15, 1987 and three (3) bids were received. Slurry sealing costs increased 21" since the last time the City requested bids, which was August, 1986. Cit} "a'ager 642,780 642,780 RESOLUTION NO. 87-93 AWARD - CONTRACT FOR CLASS II SLURRY SEAL WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in accordance with law and the order of this City Council, sealed bids were received and publicly opened by the City Clerk of this City on July 29, 1987 at 11:00 a.m. for the contract for Class II Slurry Seal, described in the specificatiens therefor approved by the City Council July 15, 1987; and WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked, and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City Manager as follows: Bidder Amount Graham Contractors, Inc. $29,567.88 California Pavement Maint. $29,577.81 Valley Slurry Seal $27,189.61 WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award for the contract for Class II Slurry Seal be made to the low bidder, Valley Slurry Seal Co., Inc. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that award of contract for Class 11 Slurry Seal be and the same is hereby made to Valley Slurry Seal Co., Inc., the low bidder, in the amount of $27,189.61.
