CITY of LODI PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT COUNCIL COMMUNICATION T0: City Council FROM: City Manager DATE: July 30, 1g81 SUBJECT: Approve Specifications for Fire Station 12 Furnishings RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council approve the specifications for Fire tat on #2 Furnishings and authorize the Purchasing Agent to advertise for bids. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Fire Station 12 at 705 E. Lodi Avenue is nearing completion. This proposal is for the furniture in the office, kitchen, living and sleeping areas. CLAVES, City Manager F I LE NO. a`iec Re;me6 SPECIFICATIONS FOR FIRE STATION #2 FURNISHINGS Sealed proposals marked "Bid on Fire Station #2 Furnishings" will be received by the Purchasing Agent in his office, City Hall, 221 W. Pine Street, Lodi, CA, 95240-2089, until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 19, 1981, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The furniture included in the proposal will be used in the office, lounge and dormitory sections of the Fire Station. BID REQUIREMENTS 1. All hills shall be submitted on the attached proposal form; 2. Expected delivery date shall be shown on the proposal. If the delivery date varies for the different types of furniture, please Indicate the Item No. and expected delivery date on an attached sheet; 3. The award will be made by the City Council at its meeting of August 1-9, 1981; 4. Before delivery of the furniture is made, the Fire Chief will be notified so that someone is there to receive the furniture. Furniture which is marred or damaged will not be accepted; 5. The furniture will be delivered to Fire Station /2 at 705 E. Lodi Avenue; 6. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept other than the lowest bid. e t. . Pine Street, Lodi, CA 95240-2089, where copies of said specifications may be inspected and obtained. Sealed proposals will be received by the Purchasing Agent in his office at City Hall, 221 W. Pine Street, Lodi, CA 95240-2089, until 11:00 A.M., _WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19. 1981 at which time they will be publicly opened and read. The City of Lodi reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept other than the lowest bid.
