GRANTED TO BUILD
LORI EXHIBIT FOR
LOS ANGELES COUNTY
FAIR
City Clerk Reimche presented a letter from William Cook,
a Lodi resident, who wants to build a comm4nity exhibit for
Lodi at the Los Angeles County Fair, Pomona, CA. This i
exhibit would promote Lodi and the local Grape and Wine
industry. Mr. Cook would provide the City with the required
insurance coverage and would retain any premiums won by this
exhibit.
Following discussion, on motion of Councilman Pinkerton, Olson
second, Mr. Cook was granted permission to build such an
exhibit with the conditions heretofore listed.

I am interested in building a Community exhibit for Lodi,
at the Los Angeles Cess-A.ty Fair. Pomona. California, Sept. 9th to
Sept. 26th, 1982,
Tlie_.Fair is having a large tasting roam, judging and Wine & Grape

exhibits in their main feature exhibit building. Lodi's 20 X 20 Foot
exhibit space would be in this area. I Plan to have a Cal ifornia
location map of Lodi, showing the area wine tasting rooms and the
Grape and Festival and National Wine Shows, also the historical background
of Lodi was a Grape and Wine di strict and a model of a working winery.
The Loa Angeles County Fair is the largest County Fair in the w�►,
and the largest of any -fair or Exposition, with attendance Of over
1-1/2 mill ion people.
I am a resident of Lodi. and will be building displays for Tulare.
Mariposa and Tuolumne Counties, plus the California Raisin Advisory
Board exhibits. I've also built displays for the California aline Institute
and California Wine Advisory Board, and would put together an exhibit
Lodi could be proud of, that would help promote the City and the local
Grape and Wine Industry.

Please be advised that your letter dated July 2, 1982
requesting permission to build an exhibit for the Los
Angeles County Fair on behalf of the City of Lodi
was presented to the City Council at its regular meeting
of August 4. Following discussion on the matter, Council
granted permission of your request with the understanding
that you are to provide the City with the proper liability
coverage and that you are to retain any fair premiums won
by this exhibit.
Should you have any questions regarding this action,
