SUBJECT. PURCHASE OF THREE-PHASE PADMDUhT TRANSFORMERS - UD -E83-8)
On Tuesday, July 26, 1983, bids were received for two 1,500 INA three-phase
padmount transformers. The transformerR will be utilized to serve confirmed
large industrial customer load growth.
Based on design data supplied by the bidders, the life -cycle cost of
transformer losses has been evaluated. Column 'B' is the dollar value
associated with these losses. Based on minimum total life -cycle coat of
the transformers, it is recommended that the bid be awarded to the lowest
bidder, R.T.E. Corporation, Waukesha, Wisconsin, in the amount of $28,414.36.
The estimate for this purchase was $34,000.
