November 6, 1984 - Consolidated Election Pursuant to Section 5011 of the Elections Code of the State of California whenever any city measure qualifies for a place on the ballot, the governing body may direct the City Clerk to transmit a copy of the measure to the City Attorney for the preparation of an impartial analysis showing the effect of the measure on the existing law and the operation of the measure. The analysis shall be printed preceding the argument for and against the meast•_e and shall not exceed 500 words in length. RECOMMENDED ACTION: By Resolution, direct the City Clerk to request the City Attorney to prepare an Impartial analysis on the two measures being placed on the November 6, 1984 Consolidated Election ballot. Reim he City Clerk RESOLUTION NO. 84-118 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING PREPARATION OF IMPARTIAL ANALYSIS OF MEASURE ON NOVEMBER 6. 1984 BALLOT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lodi does hereby. pursuant to Section 5011 of the Elections Code of the State of California. direct the City Clerk to transmit a copy of the following measures to the City Attorney ,or the preparation of an impartial analysis showing the effect of the measures on the existing law and the operation of the measures. a) Shalt the Land Use Element of the Lodi General Plan be amended to include Sunwest IV, a proposed 52.6 acre project containing 103 single-family lots. a 7.8 acre parcel for cluster homes and a 4.6 acre parcel for cluster homes or a church site. The project is bounded by Sunwest. Unit No. 3 on the north; the Woodbridge Irrigation District Canal on the east; a line one-quarter mile north of West Kettleman Lane (State Route 12) on the south, and Lower Sacramento Road on the west? b) Shall the Land Use Element of the Lodi Ceneral Plan be amended to include the Batch property, a proposed 100 acre project containing 325 single-family lots, a 7.0 acre parcel for cluster homes or an elementary school site. and a 9.4 acre site for cluster homes or senior citizen housing. The project is bounded by Lodi Park West Subdivision on the north; Lower Sacramento Road on the east; and the Woodbridge Irrigation District Canal on the south and west? AND FURTHER • a• ab CU1SOLIDiATICN WITH THE0OUMrY OF ••• ® FOR THIS STATE u ELECTION BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL CF THE CITY OF LODI that the City Council, purm=t to Section 4017 of the Elections Code of the State of California does hereby submit to the voters of the City of Lodi, California, the following measures to be voted on at the State wide election to be held Tuesday, November 6, 1984: a) Shall the Land Use Element of the Lodi General Pian be anerxied to include Sunwest IV, a proposed 52.6 acre project containing 103 single-family lots, a 7.8 acre parcel for cluster hones and a 4.6 acre parcel for cluster hones or a church site. The project is bounded by Stn7west, Unit No.3 on the north; the Woodbridge Irrigation District Canal on the east; a line one-quarter mile north of West Kettleman Lane (State Route 12) on the south, and Lower Sacramento Road on the west? b) Shall the Land Use Element of the Lodi General Plan be arended to include the Batch property, a proposed 100 acre project containing 325 single-family lots, a 7.0 acre parcel for cluster homes or an elementary school site, and a 9.4 acre site for cluster homes or senior citizen housing.. The project is Wounded by Lodi Park West Subdivision on the north; ?ower Sacramento ibad cn the east; and the Woodbridge Irrigation District Canal on the south and west? The approval of this measure will require that the Mills Property, a 20 acre parcel at the northeast corner of Iodi Avenue and Lower Sacramenb Iniad, be added to the General Plan as Law Density Residential. BE IT FURIIM RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Lodi pursuant to Section 23301.5 et seq of the Elections Code of the State of California does hereby request consolidation with the County of San Soamin for the NovemI)er 6, 1984 State wide election for the purpose of placing the heretofore listed two measures on the ballot to be voted upon by the voters of the City of Lodi. BE IT FURnM RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City of Lodi is hereby directed to file with the San .Toacrain County Board of Supervisors and the San Joaquin County Clerk a certified copy of this resolution requesting consolidation at least 88 days prior to the date of tI ae election as sl:.,ecif ied by State Statute.
