COUNCIL SAIARIES
ADOPTED
Ordinance No. 1360 - An Ordinance of the Lodi City
Council amending Lodi Municipal Code Chapter 2, City
Council salaries (Title 2, Chapter 2.08) as authorized
by Government Code Section 36516 (a) having been
introduced at a regular meeting of the Lodi City Council
held July 3, 1985 was brought up for passage on motion
Of Council Member Olson, Pinkerton second. Second
reading of the Ordinance was omitted after reading by
title and the Ordinance was then adopted and ordered to
print by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members - Olson, Pinkerton, Reid,
Snider, and Hinchman (Mayor)
NOES: Council Members - None

Ordinance No. 1360 entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE LODI CITY COUNCIL
AMENDING LODI MUNICIPAL CODE CHAPTER 2, CITY COUNCIL SALARIES (TITLE 2,
CHP---L-ER 2.08) AS AUTHORIZED BY GOVERN T CODE SEcTiON 36516 (a) (2)"
was introduced by the Lodi City Council at its Regular Meeting of July
3, 1985.
Pursuant to State statutes, this ordinance provides that each nenber of
the Lodi City Council shall receive a salary of $400.00 per month.
Council amended the original ordinance presented at the July 3, 1985
meeting to set forth the effective date of the salary increase as
April 15, 1986.
The amended ordinance, which is attached, has been approved as to form
by the City Attorney.
INDICATED ACTION:
Following reading by title, it would be appropriate for the Lodi City
Council to adopt Ordinance No. 1360 as amended.

SALARIES (TITLE 2, CHAPTER 2.08) AS AUTHORIZED BY GOVERMENT
CODE SEC'T'ION 36516 (a) (2)

SECTION 1. Chapter 2, Section 2-83 (Title 2, Chapter 2.08.020) of
theLodi Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Each memb-..r of the council of the city shall
receive, as salary, the stun of four hundred dollars
($400) per month, as prescribed in Government Code
Section 36516 in cities over 35,000 up to and including

50,000 in population, which shall be effective April
15, 1986 and shall be payable from and after the
operative date of this chapter at the same time and in the
same manner as the salaries are paid to other officers and
employees of the city."
SECTION 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may exist.
SEMON 3. This ordinance shall be published one time in the
"Lodi News Sentinel", a daily newspaper of general circulation
printed and published in the City of Lodi and shall be in force
and take effect thirty days from and after its passage and
approval.
