BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Reverends Darrell Thomas and Eusebio Rodriguez o the Method st Church. have made the request in an effort to relieve traffic congestion and reduce hazards to children attending .he St. Anne's and Methodist's schools. We have contacted Father Cornelius DeGroot, Pastor, and Wally Katnich, Principal of Saint Anne's, and both concur with the request. The only property owners abutting the alley are the Methodist and Catholic Churches. Some effects of the proposal are: 1. Vehicles exiting the alley would exit onto Pleasant Avenue (a one-way northbound street) adding additional traffic. 2. A number of vehicles may continue west through the next alley between Pleasant and Lee creating additional traffic there. 3. Exiting onto Pleasant Avenue, rather than Church Street, should be safer. 4. Some users of the Church lot at the northwest corner of Walnut and Church Street exit onto Church Street. 5.
