PROGRAM CHANCES "I am pleased to announce effective August 15, 1983, the establishment of channel 7 on Lodi Cable TV as a eommtunity channel. On August 15 KCVO, channel 7 from San Francisco will replace KPIX on cable channel 19. At that time Lodi Cable TV will make available free - converters to those customers whose sets will not tune in cable channel 19 or who do not already haze converters and wish to continue viewing KCVO. Custcmmers currently renting converters will not be charged after August 15. Lodi Cable TV is committed to making available a full-time dedicated c immunity channel. Our cccmunity bulletin board i.nfomation now seen part-time on channel 7 will be expanded. New equipment now being installed will allow us to program more information and will be updated daily to keep the comtmity up to date on information that effects their daily lives. Community programming, such as City Council meeting, currently seen on channel 13 will move to channel 7. This will allow us to provide Christian Broadcast Network uninterrupted to those viewers and we will be able to improve the broadcast quality of our live programning. Most importantly, the move to channel 7 will open an access channel to the community for use by individuals or groups, schools, churches, and others who have programmng for entertainment, information or education. Lodi Cable Tv has not made changes without concern for our crostcmers . OwWs to the cable TV industry have given us hundred of choices in programing. We rely on marketing information, combined with customer and axmm mity feedback to make decisions for change. We, as much as any other local business, answer to our custcmers, but we must also change to continue to grow. When we began service 15 years ago we had 10 channels, with 4 duplicated network stations. This fall we will have 22 non -duplicated channel choices. We have continually added choice, value, and oonvenienoe to our customers' TV viewing. we have responded to our customers' desire to keep KOO and feel this will be of ben --fit to us all.
