I have been following the Iranian/Contra hearings, and I was
somewhat disturbed and dismayed by the attitude of a number of
Senate and House representatives questioning the witnesses.
Specifically, it seemed that the representatives expected the
witnesses to have total recall a..s to dates and times of
conversations, and so forth.
For my own curiosity, I would ask you to please respond to the
following questions so that I can determine whether Senators Wilson
and Cranston have set high (or too high) expectations for recall of
citizens in this country:
In the past twelves months:
1) Now many bills were voted on or passed?
2) How many times were Senators Wilson and Cranston present when
those bills were voted on and passed?
3) How many days were they present in the Senate?
4) How many .days when the Senate was in session were they absent?
Thank you for your anticipated response.
Sincerely yours,
JAMES W. PINKERTON
