COUNCIL ADOPTED THE FOLLOWING RESOLUTION:

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
PERSONNEL RECORDS.

SUBJECT:
Destruction of Records
Pursuant to Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of
California, prior to the destruction of City Records, you must
have the written consent of the City Attorney, the record must be
at least two years old, and the legislative body by resolution must
authorize its destruction.
We have been advised by ESIS, the City Workers' Compensation Self -Insurance
Administrator that they have City of Lodi records meeting the above
criteria that they wish to destroy.
Attached please find the City Attorney's consent and a draft resolution
authorizing the destruction of these records.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:
Adopt resolution authorizing the destruction of certain City of Lodi records.

RESOLUTION NO. 82-60
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN
PUBLIC WORKS RECORDS
In accordance with Government Code Section 34090, the City Attorney
has filed his written consent to the destruction of various City of Lodi
Workers' Compensation files presently on file with ESIS, the City workers'
Compensation Self -Insurance Administrators.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Lodi that:
1. The records heretofore identified are no longer required.
2. The City Council of the City of Lodi finds that the City
Attorney has given his written consent to the destruction of the heretofore
described records and the destruction of these records is hereby authorized.

Ayes: Council Members - Snider, Olson, Pinkerton,

SUBJECT:
DISPOSITION BY ESIS OF CITY OF LODI WORKERS' COMPENSATION FILES
We have received a telephone call from ESIS, our
Workers' Comp Self -Insurance Administrators,
asking for permission to destroy City of Lodi
Workers' Compensation files which are closed
files and have been held by ESIS for 5 years.
It is my recommendation that we authorize ESIS to
destroy said files.
