Council was apprised that the subject contract was awarded to Steiny and Co., Inc. of Vallejo on August 5, 1981 in the amount of $94,624.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications approved by the City Council. The final contract price was $95,804.00. N_ -M CITY OF LOSDI PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT TO: City Council FROM: City Manager RATE: June 30, 1982 COUNCIMOeihUNICATION WjL-{ A Sr 07 SUBJECT: Acceptance of "Hutchins Street 6 Harney Lane Traffic Signal Installation" RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements in "Hutchins Street b Harney Lane Traffic Signal Installation" and direct the Public Works, Director to file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office. BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to Steiny & Co. Inc. of Vallejo on August 5. 1981, in the amount of $94,624.00. The contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and specifications ap- proved by the City Council. The contract completion date was January 16, 1982, and the actual completion date is June 25, 1982. Extensions of contract time were granted due to material delivery problems. The final contract price was $95,804.00. The difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is due to relocation of a vehicle detector loop and having the contractor furnish and install left turn signs.
