AGENDA TITLE: Accept Improvements Under 1987 Asphalt Concrete Overlays
Contract
RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council accept the improvements under
the 111987sA�ptal t Concrete Overlays, South Fairmont Avenue, West Lodi Avenue,
and East Kettleman Lane" contract and direct the Public Works Director to
file a Notice of Completion with the County Recorder's office.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: The contract was awarded to Granite Construction
Company of Z>tOCKton on April 15, 1987 in the amount of $56,268.50. The
contract has been completed in substantial conformance with the plans and
specifications approved by the City Council.
The contract completion date wag July 27, 1987, and the actual comp:.tion
date was June 23, 1987. The final contract price was $63,422.62. The
difference between the contract amount and the final contract price is mainly
due to a 10% overrun on asphaltic concrete and a $765 change order caused by
a reduction in the amount of grinding.
