prohibiting smoking in all City buildings.

2. Conditionally approved the Tentative Parcel Map to
divide a cc mercia'iy designated area at 2430 West
Turner Road into two parts with Parcel "A" containing
1.374 acres and Parcel "R" containing 1.798 acres In an
area zoned P -D (1). Planned Developttet t District No-. 1,
as requested by Dennis G. Bennett, c --/'o Bennett and
Cmpton, Inc.
The Placating Commission certified the filing of a l
Negative Declaration by the Coemanity Development

matter.
3. Conditionally approved the Tentative Parcel Map to
resubdivide portions of Lots 8. 9, 11 and 12. Maxwell
Industrial Park in an area zoned M-2, Heavy Industrial
as requested by Bau mach and Piazza, Consulting

4. Determined that a Zoning Hardship existed and approved
the request of Melvin Tetz for a Zoning Variance to
reduce the required 5 -foot sideyard setback to 3 feet to
permit a 12 foot by 20 foot addition at 732 James
Street, in an area zoned R-2. Single -Family Residential.
5. Approved the request of Bruce % Pendleton. Jr.. on
behalf of the North Stockton and I.od•i-Kiwanis Club for a
use Permit to conduct a charitable carnival for six days
- June 12 through June 18. 1984 at 520 South Cherokee
Lane (i.e. K -Nb rt Shopping Center Parking Lot). in an
area zoned G-2, General Commercial.

FOR ACTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
I. Recommended that the City Council adopt a policy concerning smoking in
the City Councit Chambers which would apply to all organizations con-
ducting meeting, in the Chambers rather than just to City Council sessions.
OF INTEREST TO THE CITY COUNCIL
1. Conditionally approved the Tentative Subdivision Map of The Meadows.
Unit No. 2. a 60 -lot residential and professional office project pro-
posed for the south side of West Kettleman Lane, west of Lakeshore Village
Subdivision in an area zoned P -D (24) Planned Development District No. 24
as requested by Kenneth Glantz, Consulting Engineer on behalf of J. W.
Properties.
2. Conditionally approved the Tentative Parcel Map to divide a commercially
designated area at 2430 West Turner Road into two parts wit -h Parcel "A"
containing 1.374 acres and Parcel "B" containing 1.798 acres in an area

WHEREAS, it is found that smoke from cigars. cigarettes and
other tobacco products may be injurious to the health of persons.

products in the Council Charrbers of the City Hall, City of Lodi,
constitutes a fire hazard; and

prohibit the smoking of cigars, cigarettes and other tobacco products
in the Council (hanbers, City Hall, Lodi. California; '
NOW, MIFREKRE, BE IT RFSOI.VID that the smoking of cigars,
cigarettes or other tobacco products shall be and is prohibited in the
Council Chanbers of the City Hall of the City of Lodi.
