RAISED BY ANY PROPERTY
OWNER REGARDING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF SIDEWALKS
Notice thereof having been published and posted
in accordance with law and affidavit of
publication and posting being on file in the
office of the City Clerk, Mayor Hinchman called
for the Public Hearing to hear and pass upon
objections or protest raised by any property
owner or other interested persons regarding the
"Notice To Construct Sidewalks" in front of their
property - 1809 West Lockeford Street, 1835
West Lockeford Street, 914 South Stockton
Street and 940 - 944 South Stockton Street,
Lodi.
A staff report was presented concerning the
matter and Staff then responded to questions
regarding the subject as were posed by the
Council.
There were no persons in the audience wishing to
speak on the matter, and Playor Hincrunan then
closed the Public Hearing.
Following discussion Council, on motion of
Council Member Olson, Reid second, directed
that the subject sidewalk installations be made.

SUBJECT: Public Hearings for Required .Installation of Sidewalks
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: This public hearing is to near objections from
property owners who are being required to install sidewalk.
Notices to Construct were sent to two property owners on Stockton Street and
two property owners on Lockeford Street. The Notices require that they
commence construction of the sidewalk fronting their property within 60 days.
The State of California Streets and Highway Code requires that the legislative
body hear and pass upon objections at a hearing which shall be set no sooner
than ten (10) days after giving notice.
One of the property owners on Stockton Street who received a notice has already
started to install the sidewalk. The others have indicated that they are in
the process of securing estimates for the work. This procedure is set forth in
t t to California Streets and Highway Code.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, June 19, 1985
at the hour of 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the matter
may be heard, the Lodi .City Council will conduct a public
hearing in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 221 West Pine
Street, Lodi, California, to hear and pass upon objections or
protests raised by any property owner or other interested
persons regarding the "Notice to construct sidewalks" in front
of their property - 1809 West Lockeford Street, 1835 West
Lockeford Street, 914 South Stockton Street, and 940 - 944
South Stockton Street, Lodi..
Information regarding this item may be obtained in the
office of the City Clerk at 221 West Pine Street, Lodi,
California. All interested persons are invited to present
their views on the matter. Written statements may be filed
with the City Clerk at any time prior to the hearing scheduled
herein and oral statements may be made at said hearing.
