The District also respect- fully requests that the Council subsequently consider annexation of the Woodbridge Schoo, property to the City of Lodi. As directed by the Board, I hereby transmit a copy of Resolution 87-61 and thank you for your favorable consideration. BOARD Or 1RUST tr-S OF lilt LODI UNIFIED 'IGHOOL D!S'[PIC1 OF THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN, STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION 87-61 REQUEST FOR PLACEMENT OF WOODBRIDG,E SCHOOL PROPERTY ON THE NOVEMBER, 1987 BALLOT FOR AMENDMENT TO THE CITY GENERAL PLAN AND REQUEST FOR ANNEXATION WHEREAS, 75% of the pupils attending Woodbridge Middle School are residents of the City of Lodi; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the District and the students, staff and parents of Woodbridge School for Woodbridge School to be on City water and sewer; and WHEREAS, other City services. including police protection, would be of benefit to the school, and, in some cases, are already benefitting the school; and WHEREAS, such services are not available without annexation; and WHEREAS, the City of Lodi cannot consider an annexation request unless it is consistent with the City General Plan; and WHEREAS, the City General Plan can be amended to include the Woodbridge property for consideratin only by a vote of City residents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that this Board of Trustees hereby requests that the City of Lodi include the Woodbridge School Property on the November, 1987 ballot for General PIan Amendment consideration. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this Board of Trustees hereby requests that the Lodi City Council favorably consider annexation of the Woodbridge School property as soon as it is legally possible. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Facility Planner, Mary Joan Starr or the Superintendent, Neil Schmidt, or the Assistant Superintendent, Ronald Alsup, are hereby directed and authorized to execute all documents on behalf of the District, and to transmit this request to the Lodi City Council. Lodi was presented to the Council at its regular meeting of June 17, 1987.
