The matter was introduced by Community Development Director Schroeder who presented diagrams for Council's perusal. PL4NM DEVEICOMM DI STRICT NO. 24 BY REDUCING THE DENSITY AT 1700. 2100 AND 2200 WEST KEIZWIAN LANE WITH OCNDITICNS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Wednesday, June 6, 1984 at the hour of 8:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Lodi City Council will conduct a public hearing in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 221 West Pine Street. Lodi, California, to consider the Planning Commissions recommendation that the City Council approve the request of Kenneth Glantz, c/o Glantz-Diemler-Dorman. Consulting Engineers, to amend P -D (24), Planned Development District No. 24 by reducing the density at 1700. 2100 and 2200 West Kettleman Lane with the following conditions: a) that the single-family portion of the development conform to the R-2, Single -Family Residential District; b) that the multiple -family portion of the development conform to the R -GA. Garden Apartment Residential District; and c) that the office -institutional portion of the development conform to the R -C -P, Residential -Commercial -Professional District. The Planning Commission also recommended that the City Council certify the filing of a Negative Declaration by the Community Development Director.as adequate environmental documentation on the project. Information regarding this item may be obtained in the office of the Community Development Director at 221 West Pine Street, Lodi, California. All interested persons are invited to present their views on this matter. Written statements may be filed with the City Clerk at any time prior to the hearing scheduled herein and oral statements may be made at said hearing. At its meeting of Monday, May 14, 1984 the Lodi City Planning Commission recommended that the City Council amend P -D (24), Planned Development District No. 24 to conform with your drawing dated May, 1984 and entitled "Revised Layout - !lest of Meadows N1". The Commission's recommendation contains the following conditions: 1. that the single-family portion of the development conform to the R-2, S1-'gle-Family Residential District with the exception that certain areas are designated for 40 -foot wide lots for garden/patio homes; 2. that the multiple -family portion of the development conform to the R -GA, Garden Apartment Residential District; and 3. that the office -institutional portion of the development conform to the R -C -P, Residential -Commercial -Professional District. These recommendations have been forwarded to the City Council for final review and action. The City Clerk, Alice M. Reimche, will Inform you of the time and place of the Council's public hearing. Wagner 1602 Roya Crest Drive Lodi, 95240 Dea Mr. Wagner: RE: Zoning Variances - 2331 Flora Street At its meeting of Monday, May 14, 1984 the Lodi City Plan;ing Commission took the following actions on Zoning Variances you requested for an addition to an existing non -conforming duplex on a 1.600 square foot non -conforming lot at 2331 Flora Street in an. area Zoned R -MD, Medium Density Multiple Family Residential: 1. approved a Variance to reduce the required sideyard setback from 5 feet to 31 feet because the existing structure was already established at that non -conforming setback; and 2. denied a Variance to reduce the required rea ryard setback from 10 feet to 3 feet and determined that a Zoning Hard- ship, as defined in Section 27-15 (b) 1 of the Lodi Municipal Code. Section 27-15 (e)2 of the Municipal Code provides the following procedure: "Appeal. Any applicant or person claiming to be directly and adversely affected by any action of the Planning Commission may, within 5 days (i.e. working days) after the action file a written appeal with the City Clerk for transmittal to the City Council." If you wish to appeal the denied portion of your requtst, your correspondence should be directed to Mrs. Alice M. Reimche, Mr. Charles L.
