HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda Report - June 4, 1986 (59)SUBJECT: Renewal Landscape Maintenance Contract RECOMMENDED_ ACTION: That the City Council approve and authorize the City Manager and City Clerk,to execute the renewal of the Landscape Maintenance Contract for Ev the 1986-87 fiscal year to Ireland Landscaping Co.,' Inc. at no increase in cost. =` BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Ireland Landscape Co., Inc. has maintained landscape fz. areas within the City.since'July 1, 1982, -and has provided satisfactory service. The number of areas maintained has 'increased from 28 in 1982 to 36 in 1985. During the 1986-37 fiscal year they will again be maintaining 36 areas; The City approved rate'.increases of 3 percent in 1984'and 2 percent in 1985. They €.. have agreed in their letter dated March '11,`1986, to maintain the existing 36 areas at no increase in cost for an additional twelve months, .July ;1, 1986, L -- through June 30, 1987. Funds to finance the contract were included by various departments in the, 1986-87 opera`ng budget.
