Re: Marcilla Billigmeier v. City of Lodi
Date of Loss: Unknown
Dear Alice:

This letter is to acknowledge receipt of the aforementioned claim and
to request you reject the claim at this time as insufficient. The
insufficiency lies in that the claimant fails to state a date of loss.
I spoke with the claimant on 5/17/83 to advise her that the claim would
be rejected and she indicated she would correct the problem. I further
advisel the claimant she should have her T.V. looked at to see what was
the problem is since a simple power failer will not make the City liable.
There must be something inherently wrong with the set but again, a repair
person should beable to make a determination. I also advised the claim-
ant that even if the City were to be liable, they will pay to repair
the set not buy her a new one.
Once the insufficiency has been corrected, please have your electrical
department provide me with any information they may have on the power
outage.
