LODI CITY CODE amending Article V (Stopping, Standing, and Parking) of Chapter
INTRODUCED 27 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic) of the Lodi City Code. The
motion was sL:onded by Mayor Pro Tempore Murphy and carried

Date: April 23, 1982
Attached hereto is a draft copy of an ordinance which
would permit the City Council to designate by resolu-
tion, limited parking on streets (such as Lodi Avenue).
This ordinance would make it a lot easier to sign a
street with limited parking-. It wound not necessitate
an ordinance every time we wanted to have limited park-
ing on a particular street. This would be the type of
ordinance that Councilwoman Evelyn Olson was suggesting.
Please let me have your comments on this.
I have also attached a draft of an ordinance similar to
that on Laurel Avenue for no parking. This ordinance
- would be in lieu of the other attached draft..

BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Lodi as follows:
Section 1. Article V (Stopping, Standing and Parking)
of Chapter 27 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic) of the Lodi
City Code is hereby amended by adding a new Section
to read as follows:
"Section Standing or Parking, Restrictions.
"(a) The City Council, by resolution shall
designate standing or parking restrictions
within the City of Lodi, and the city
engineer shall be authorized to erect signs,
or curb markings in areas so designated by
resolution of the city council of the City of
Lodi.
"(b) No person shall sto�i, stand or park any
vehicle on any of the streets designated by
resolution as streets upon w;:ich parking is
restricted, for a length of time greater than
that set out in any such resol,xtion and indi-
cated on such signs or curb markings."

OF CHAPTER 27 (MOTOR VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC) OF THE LODI
CITY CODE.
BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City
of Lodi as follows:
SECTION 1. Article V (Stopping, Standing and Parking)
of Chapter 27 (Motor Vehicles and Traffic) of the Lodi
City Code is hereby amended by adding a new Section
to read as follows:
"Section Parking prohibited on designated
part of Lodi Avenue.
"'Farking is prohibited on Lodi Avenue from
Hutchins Street to Sacramento Street between
the hours of nine p. m. and six a. m. In addition
to the other penalties provided by this chapter,
the violation of this Section authorizes any
police officer of the city to remove said vehicle
and store the same at the expense of the regis-
tered owner. Signs shall be posted giving notice
of the right of removal."
