ZIZ7ra —W —W CO NCIL COMMUNICATION 10 THE CITY COUNCIL DATE MAY 18, 1983 FROM: THE CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE SUBJECT: APPROPRIATIONS OF MONIES During this fiscal year, Council approved salary and wage supplement increases to City employees. These increased benefits were granted after the 1982-83 Budget was adopted. Council gave approval for the payment of the additional benefits, however, we have not legislatively appropriated the funds. Council is, therefore, requested to make the following additional appropriations for employee benefits: GENERAL FUND $311,920 ELECTRIC FUND 3,776 SEWER FUND 17,454 WATER FUND 6,493 PARKING FUND 213 LIBRARY FUND 12,215 TOTAL $352,071 NO. The Council is also aware that the PERS Board of Administration has refunded employer contributions this fiscal year of $307,817.88. In order to properly account for those funds so that they do not gat "lost in the shuffle", Council is requested to appropriate $307,817.88 to the General Fund Operating Reserve. Council is respectfully requested to approve these appropri- ations.
