The City has found these pumps to be low -maintenance and parts and materials
readily available in northern California. Ten Public Works employees have
already attended maintenance and repair training on the Flygt pump.
Section 2-58, Exemptions From Centralized Purchasing, of the Lodi City Code,
authorizes the City Council to standardize on specific supplies, services, and
equipment. Since the City has only fo+=r future submersible pump installations,
and since all of the existing submersible pump installations have Flygt pumps,
it is recommended that the City standardize on the submersible pump manufactured
by the "Flygt Corporation."
For the Council's information, the City of Lodi has previously standardized on
the following equipment:
° Water Meters
° Fire Hydrants
Propeller Pumps & Y6tors
° Traffic Signal Controllers
i Voltage Electrical Panels
