SUBJECT. APPROVE SALE OF POLICE DEPARTMENT CONFISCATED AND OBSOLETE WEAPONS AT AUCTION

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That the City Council authorize the sale at auction
by the Police Department of confiscated and obsolete
weapons.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: It is the recommendation of the Chief of Police
that the. Police Department sell at auction
confiscated and obsolete,_weapons This sale wiII be

;Exhibit Aj. Proceeds from the sale will be used by the department to purchase
new weapons.

RESOLUTION NO. 87-51
RESOLUTION APPROVING SALE OF POLICE DEPARTMENT
CONFISCATED AND OBSOLETE WEAPONS
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Lodi does hereby authorize the Lodi Police Department to
conduct a public auction, pursuant to Section 12020 et seq.
of the Penal Code of the State of California, for the sale
of confiscated and obsolete weapons.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that all proceeds from
:-- t.hi s_;auct;i-an willbe. returned to the Police Department for
purchase of needed weapons for the armory.
