SUNECT: PUBLIC HEARING ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT
RECOWENDED_ACTION: That the City Council conduct a public hearing
on the recommendation of the Planning
Con unission for a zoning ordinance amendment' to
provide for an additional use in the R -C -P
(Residential -Commercial -Professional) District
and take action as deemed appropriate
BACKGROUND INFORMATION: At its regular meeting of April 8, 1985 the
Planning Commission considered a request presented by Mr.Mark Ehlers
to permit the rer_tal and sale of special respiratory and convalescent
equipment in the R -C -P (Residential -Commercial -Professional)
District. The Staff position is that such a use is not inappropriate
provided the Planning Commission concur with the issuance of a Use
Permit. This issue comes to the City Council with a Planning
Corrunission recommendation for the ordinance amendment.

its regular meeting of May 1, 1985 whereby, following a public
hearing on the matter, Council denied the recommendation of the
Planning Commission regarding your request to amend the R -C -P,
Residential -Commercial -Professional District to permit the rental
and sale of special respiratory and convalescent equipment after
acquiring a Use Permit from the Planning Commission.

At its meeting of Monday, April 8, 1985 the Lodi City Planning
Commission recommended that the City Council approve your request
to amend.the R -C -P, Residential -Commercial-Professional District
to permit the rental and sale of Special Respiratory and Con-
valescent Equipment after first acquiring a Use Permit from the
Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission's recommendation has been forwarded to
the City Council for final hearing and action. Mrs. Alice M.
Reimche, City Clerk, will inform you of the time and place of
the City Council's public hearing.
