Notice is hereby given that at a Regular Meeting of the Lodi City Cotu:cil
to be held Wednesday, April 20, 1983 at the hour of 3:O0 p.m., or as soon
thereafter as the matter may be heard, the Lodi City Council will conduct--
a
onducta Public Hearing in the Council Chambers, City [fall, 221 West Pine Street,
Dodi, California, to review existing art proposed plan lines on South
Stockton Street between Lodi Avenue and Kettleman Lane, Lndi.
On February 17, 1982, the Lodi City ;:ouncil adopted a plan .for the
reconstruction of Stockton Street frau Kettleman Lane to Lodi Avenue. The
main points of the adopted plan are:
1) Stockton Street, Tokay to Lodi to be reconstructed
--t its present w.dth.
2) Stockton Stmt, Kettleman to Tokay to be
reconstructed and widened within existing right of way
except at corner parcels and certain parcels when
right of way would be acquired to h7prove alignment.
3) Stockton Street, Kettleman to Lodi would have an
ultimate right of way of 80 feet.
The reconstruction is to take place as fu:-mds are budgeted in the annual
Capital Improvement Program and the ultimate right of way requirements
are to be used to control future developTent. The present set back

ordinance for this segment of Stockton Street calls for varying widths.
The purpose of the proposed ordinance is to modify the setLack requirement
to conform to the plan adopted in 1982.
Infornotion regarding this item may be obtained by contacting Richard
Prima, Associate Civil Engineer at City Hall.
All interested persons are invited to present their views either for or
against the above proposal. Written statements may be filed with the
City Clerk at any time prior to the hearing scheduled herein and oral
statements may oe- made at said hearing.

ORDINANCE NO. 1286
AN ORDINANCE REPEALING+ ORDINANCES NUMBERED 601 and 797 AND AMENDING
TNE SETBACK LINES ON STOCKTON STREET FROM LODI AVENUE, TO KETTLE_IAN
LANE
The City Council of the City of Lodi does ordain as follows:
Section 1.
- Ordinance No. 601 and 797 are hereby repealed.
Section 2.
- From and after the effective date of this ordinance, no
building or structure, except public works appertaining
to the portion of street hereinafter described, shall
be erected, placed or maintained between two lines drawn
parallel to and 40 feet East and gest from the Center
Line of Stockton Street between Lodi Avenue and Kettle -
man Lane, said Center Line being delineated on the
Map of Lodi Barnhart Tract, filed November S, 1906, in
Volume 3, Page 48, Book of Maps and Plats, San Joaquin
County Records.
Section 3.
- The Chief Building Inspector of the City of Lodi shall
not issue any building permit in violation hereof, and
any building or structure hereafter erected between the
building setback lines herein established shall be
deemed a public nuisance and may be abuted as such.
Section 4.
- All other ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are repealed insofar as such conflict may exist.
Section S.
- This ordinance shall be published one time in the "Lodi
News Sentinel", a daily newspaper of general circulation
