RES. NO. 86-56 City Manager Peterson presented the following bids which
had been received for "Church Street Watermain,
CC -14(a) Tamarack to Vine; Park Street Watermain, Church to
OC -12(a) School; Poplar Street Watermain, Washington to Prielx:

Frit Larson Construction, $100,720.00
On recommendation of the City Manager, Council adopted
Resolution No. 86-56 awarding the contract for Church/Park
Poplar Waterwairs to C.P. National in the amount of
$63,901.60.

RECOMMENDED ACTION: That
the City Council award the contract for the above
project to C.P. National
in the amount of $63,901.60.
BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
This project is the completion of
the Church/Park
watermain project an the
Poplar Street watermain project.
Phase I of the Church
Street project (north of
Vine) was done last year prior to
a street overlay. The
Poplar Street project is
being done for the Galatsatos project on 322 Poplar
Street per Council action
on May 22, 1985.
Plans and specifications
for this project were approved on
March 26, 1986.
The City has received the
following 8 bids for this project:

STREET WATERMAIN, WASHINGTON TO PRIEBE
WHEREAS, in answer to notice duly published in
accordance with law and the order of this City Council,
sealed bids were received and publicly opened by the City
Clerk of this City on April 9, 1966 at 11:00 a.m. for the
contract for Church Street Watermain, Tamarack to Vine,
Park Street Watermain, Church to School, Poplar Street
Watermain, Washington to Priebe, described in the
specifications therefor approved by the City Council March
19, 1986; and
WHEREAS, said bids have been compared, checked,
and tabulated and a report thereof filed with the City
Manager as follows:

WHEREAS, the City Manager recommends that award
be made to the low bidder, C. P. National.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City or Lodi that award of contract for
Church `Street Watermain, Tamarack to Vine, Park Street
Watermain,Church to School, Poplar Street Watermain,
Washington to Priebe be and the same is hereby made to C.
P. National, the low bidder, in the amount of $63,901.60.
