THE TROUBLED
ADOLESCENT
During the formative stage of a
?enager s life change is rapid. This
journey into adulthood. at best is
stressful and confusing. It is not
uncommon for a teenager to
experiment with mood altering
chemicals as a way to relieve the
stress. be accepted by peers and to
establish a false sense of identity. In
many instances. the use of drugs
and,o, alcohol results in serious
problems fir the teenager and family
which become too difficult to handle
alone. Professional help is needed.
The New Beginnings Adolescent
Program is designed to help the teen-
ager and family experiencing
problems resulting from chemical
dependency.
New Becinnings recognizes
chemical dependency as an illness. It
is a disease which affects nct only the
teenager but the entire family.
Supportive care is provided for both
tr:; patient and the family by offering
a warm atmosphere which blends
expert treatment and high
professional standards with concern,
trust and Icve. In this climate. the seed
for a healthy recovery is nurtured. It is
truly a "new beginning".

patient and family is unique and has
special needs. Our treatment team
provides a program specifically
designed to meet those individual
needs, as well as components which
address all aspects of the illness.
