STEIN City Attorney Your recent letter to State Senator John Garamendi concerning parking restrictions in front of your house was referred to the C;ty of Lodi. It was read at the last regular meeting of the City Council, and the Council directed it to staff for reply. The parking restrictions which are in effect in your neighborhood are the result of numerous requests from people living in the area for relief from the all -day parking of students attending Tokay Nigh School. At the time the restrictions were placed in effect everyone in the neig6bdrhood was pleased with the action. To date, we have not received any other complaints regarding the parking restrictions. Everyone appreciates the fact there is some inconvenience to the people living in that area resulting from these restrictions. However, the absence of cars parked in front of homes all day, seems to override this inconvenience in the minds of the majority of the residents of that area. f. We appreciate your thoughts on this matter. Sincerely, { Thomas A. Peterson £_ City Manager TAP:br i
