MEMO TO: A. B. Bonner, Manager of Water Operations Department
F R 0 M: T. J. Linville, Manager of Water Production Division
SUBJECT: Meeting with City of Lodi
On March 28, 1983, T. J. Linville and D. A. Wilson met with
Mr. Henry Glaves, Lodi City Manager, and his staff to discuss
the Mokelumne River spring runoff. The meeting was requested
by Mr. C'aves to assist his staff in preparing for possible high
river flows through the City because of the predicted 1,500,000 AF
of runoff.
D. A. Wilson ma -ie a brief presentation on the operation of the
Mokc-°smne Systen and answered questions about remaining reservoir
flood storage caiacity, blowoff capacity, and estimated Camanche
spill rates. Th.: City was informed that a spill from Camanche
Reservoir was possible and that the magnitude of the spill, if any,
could not be accurately predicted. The City was also informed
that the District would attempt to operate Camanche and Pardee
Reservoirs to reduce the possibility of a spill from Camanche
Reservoir.
The City also requested the District notify their fire department
in ever,c that a spill was considered eminant. The District agreed
to the notification, but noted that we would not attempt to predict
the spill rate. The District also agreed to run several flood
routing studies to estimate the effect of different runoff
condition on river flow.
